Snow, Snow, Snow

This week we got about 8 inches of snow so we decided to have some fun with it (not that shoveling the sidewalks and driveway isn’t fun). So we rented some cross country skis for the weekend and went to the local UM golf course this morning. It was a great morning, about 30 degrees with some light snow falling. After falling a bit at first (and cursing the beautiful, white snow), I finally got the hang of it (again) and really enjoyed the skiing. There were a few others skiiers out but not too many. The course is large enough with varied terrain so you could either follow someone else’s tracks or blaze your own. We did a bit of both and plan to head out again tomorrow before the snow melts.

We got about 6 inches here in Washington state- I have great neighbors so I only had to shovel once - and that was becuase I was up before they were! Sammy (my dog) is loving the snow and when I shovel out the patio, she tries to run under the tossed snow. Looks to be it for a while, but we dip down into the 20s later this week- BRRR!!

The “golf-course skiing” sounds like a wonderful way to spend the weekend. Enjoy the snow while it lasts.
