GSHAS bounced back with a solid 12-4 win over Triple Play. This week we came to hit and the second half of our lineup really rallied us early and kept us going late- Todd, Chaz, Tony, Charlie and Ben all had multiple hits and used all the gaps. We did a great job of stringing hits together, being aggressive on the bases (Chaz and Todd both took extra bases), and keeping innings alive with 2 outs hits. Their OF helped us out a bit as they could not catch Jesse’s sky-high fly ball and Chris’s semi-high one. The gloves were pretty solid too- Tony made the play of the year by ranging deep behind 2B and into short RF to catch a little blooper from a big hitter, Jesse made a nice putout at first and nearly turned a 3U-2 DP, Jon L. and Chaz made all the plays at 3B, and Todd made a great throw from RC to get a putout at 2B (despite the umpire’s call, he was OUT). Excellent work this week!!

Not only did we win, but we also managed to get lots of points too. A quick bit of housekeeping from last week: per the poll results, a team point was assessed to everyone who played last week for our “hitting” and I’ve changed the point totals accordingly (please check last week’s post to make sure I assessed correctly). Thanks to Chris for bringing the fine beverages this week!! Thanks to a 3 point explosion this week, Ben will be bringing beverages for our next game. As always, feel free to comment, clarify, correct, volunteer others for points, etc.
